Once
upon a time
....in
a desert land far away a baby was born in a manger and then wrapped
in swaddling clothes having been given the Hebrew name Yeshua
and known to us as Jesus, Immanuel, "God is with us"
as prophesied by Isaiah. There were angels round about while wise
men followed the star and traveled over mountains to find this
baby and bring gifts.
Every
time one of us have found and then worships the King angels are
round about clapping their hands while wise men do travel over
mountains to take gifts of witness to babies in swaddling clothes.
Angels
bigger than life have been round about leading us to an orphanage
of over 100 girls, many with babies not wrapped in swaddling clothes
in a foreign land. Many times I have visited, taken gifts and
walked out with a pain in my heart that left me speechless.
During
this last journey it was different. Through the tears I heard
angels clapping their hands louder and louder and suddenly I saw
a star begin to shine over those beautiful faces and their babies.
Children of the Nations traveled over mountains being led by angels
through paths of miracles to follow the shining star back to these
girls with a gift. This path has been a walk of faith like no
other with many obstacles that have been suddenly cleared away
through awesome miracles.
For
the second year in a row, Children of the Nations will be sponsoring
a special Christmas party like these girls have never seen on
this Christmas Season. Our gifts of witness will be a tree, topped
with an angel, a warm meal, their very own bible, a personal gift
for each young girl and yes a swaddling blanket for each baby.
Pray
with us for Blessings of safety and wisdom of Marcelo and Gaby
Diez, our Word of Life Missionary friends in Guatemala City and
all the other gracious and generous people who give of their time
and hearts to see these special girls come closer to our Lord.
We are anxious to help with the preparations for our Guatemala
Angel's Christmas project. Our staff and Governing Board are stepping
out in faith that, while you are giving your gifts this Christmas,
you will also remember these girls and babies with a small monetary
gift to our agency so we may all help make this the best Christmas
they and their caregivers have ever experienced.
Lastly,
we ask that you will pray with us for angels to clap their hands
loudly as the Glory of the Lord will have shone round about them
during our witness; And, that after this special day each one
will know and remember Jesus is Lord and King of Kings and will
then bear witness with gifts to others.
